What's involved
Riverdale school volunteer accreditation requirements apply to anyone wanting to volunteer. The process is:
- Complete a volunteer application form – available from the front office
- Meet and have a chat with a member of the leadership team
Screening/certificates required
- A current Department for Human Services Working with Children Check (WWCC) at no cost to you, this is covered by the school.
- You must also complete the Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) course. This is a short online course.
- 2 referees
Volunteer opportunities
The following opportunities are available for volunteers:
- Governing Council
- Canteen
- Classroom support (reading with children, accompanying excursions, class activities).
