Governing council
This is a representative body comprising of elected parents, the Principal and staff representatives. The responsibilities of the Governing Council are:
- involvement in the preparation of the school’s Statement of Purpose and general management plans
- to consider recommendations and a proposed budget from the Finance Committee
- to oversee the upgrading and maintenance of school grounds and facilities
- to inform parents of education initiatives and practices in the school
- to approve the Annual Report
Governing Council meets at 3.15pm in weeks 4 and 8, at the school. Parents are invited and encouraged to join Governing Council, the associated committees or attend the Council more informally before making a commitment. The Annual General Meeting is held in term 1 each year.

Parents and carers of current students and staff can be part of our governing council or sub-committees.
Council elections are held in term 1 of each year. You can make nominations at our Annual General Meeting or pick up a nomination form from our front office.
